Much of the friction in insurance isn't in the policy. It's in the money: taking the first premium, setting up the mandate for the next ones, and dealing with the payment that fails months later.

That is the subject of our session at ITC Europe in Barcelona. On Friday 29 May at 10:05, Fidamy founder Jan Speelman and Dominique Adriansens, co-founder of Twikey (opens in a new tab), take the main stage to show how we bring insurance and payments together in one experience.

Why payments decide the customer experience

Embedded insurance is offered at the moment of purchase, so paying for cover has to be as easy as paying for the product. After that, most policies run on recurring premiums, and the payment method has to keep working for as long as the policy does.

Every extra step costs customers: a separate payment page, a mandate signed somewhere else, a failed collection that nobody follows up. Remove those steps and payments get smoother, friction drops and customers stay covered.

Why Twikey

Twikey, founded in Ghent in 2013, helps businesses collect recurring payments through direct debit, recurring card payments and other methods. It works with nearly 2,000 customers across Europe and manages more than 10 million active mandates. Together, we're making the payment side of insurance as simple as the purchase itself.
